" Lovely villa, very spacious, pictures don't do it justice. Very quiet location, so car definitely needed. Some lovely restaurants in the nearby villages. Only downside is the track up to the villa is very narrow & made even more so by bushes. "

"Full of atmosphere and the most amazing views over the surroundings. The House is huge, modern and full of comfort but still with a lot of personality and the pool area is just perfect. The garden holds lots of rosemary and wild thyme and a handful made just the grill dinner at the pool taste even better.
We have had the best family vacation, thanks to the place and to Paul who - despite not being there in person - still made everything work, being very helpful with information and fast response on whatever request we may have had. Our warmest recommendations."

"This is a beautiful and immaculately kept villa. It will sleep 10 comfortably and all the rooms are spacious and airy. It has every possible amenity with a maid visiting every day. The gardens surrounding the villa are extensive and extremely pleasant with stunning views towards the coast. There is a wonderful but very private pool located down some steps with an uninterrupted outlook. This is where we spent most of our time - including during the evenings using the lovely built in barbecue. There are plenty of things to see nearby (and beyond) but frankly the nicest times were spent just hanging out at 'the Casa'. Amazingly good."

"We are a party of 5 adults and 5 children (aged 10-16) just back after spending a lovely week at Casa Estrela in Jul 18. The villa offers excellent accommodation, a superb 11x6m pool & pool area, and an abundance of indoor and outdoor space including a good size lawn in front which is ideal for family games. What's more the property boasts a genuinely beautiful hillside setting with stunning views of the surrounding countryside, down to Faro and the ocean. Owner Paul's descriptions of the property, facilities and surroundings are honest and accurate and I have little doubt that every one of the numerous 5 star reviews is genuine. Paul kept in touch so we had all the information needed prior to our trip He was also available for advice during the week but the Casa is so well equipped with clear instructions and there are current guidebooks and recommendations covering beaches, leisure activities, restaurants and places of interest, so we had no reason to call on him. In short - a great experience, highly recommended!"

"We met the owner on arrival who clearly loves this house and you can easily see why. The views are outstanding, the house is so incredibly spacious and well appointed, we just felt right at home from the moment we walked in. Most of the bedrooms are downstairs with sliding doors onto the lawn. They are cool and airy, but the efficient and very quiet air con was very welcome in the evenings. The master bedroom is huge, and the terrace just wonderful to sit on with coffee first thing in the morning. The kitchen is very large with everything you could possibly need, and there is a stack of big beach towels in the utility room which were well used around the fantastic pool. The pool is approached by a flight of easy steps and has masses of shady places to keep out of the sun as well as sunbathing spots. Loads of sunloungers with pads, outside shower, little kitchen with fridge, and a loo are all down there so you're not back and forth to the house. Everything was very well thought through - I have never been so sad for a holiday to end, we could have stayed there for ever."

"Upon arriving at Casa Estrela there was a unanimous 'wow'. It is a beautiful property and very well equipped and very roomy. We are a family of ten, ages ranging from 6 to 78 years, and we spent a fabulous two weeks there. The lovely pool was used daily, and the barbecue was put to good use. We visited some lovely sandy beaches, mostly only 20-30 minutes away, Faro old town is well worth a visit as is Loule, especially the market on a Saturday. We ate out several times, mostly patronising the local eateries which were very good value for money and are within walking distance. We found that if we had been out for the day, it was lovely to get back to the peace and quiet of the villa and just relax with a glass of wine or a beer on the terrace.The two weeks all went far too quickly, but we are sure we will be returning one day! Highly recommended for all ages!"

"A wonderful villa for all age groups.......stay here and have the best location ever....we were wowed on arrival and now, on our last day, we have considered 'squatting' as we love it here so much...but we are law abiding folk so we look forward to returning at some other time... Got to leave this fantastic place for the next lot of residents,,,...Casa Estrela, it's gardens, pool area and all the many items provided, are just excellent....beyond our expectations (and they were high to begin with!). From booking to being in residence the owner, Paul, and others have been so very helpful....thank you! From Casa Estrela it is easily accessible to get to the beach areas, towns and lovely eateries.........our first visit to Portugal will not be our last......being in this particular Villa was far, far better than being in a hotel....get up when you please, breakfast at your leisure, swim at any time, ......eat, drink, relax on the many verandahs or large balconies.....and BBQ by the pool.......none of our family party, age range from fifteen to just over seventy, want to go home tomorrow....next time we will make our trip longer.....just to enjoy this fabulous place. The villa is appropriate for people with certain disabilities however, there are stairs up to the living room, kitchen and dining areas so these might be a problem for those wino require ramp access.....but lower ground bedroom en suites, house bathrooms and pool are accessible to all. you are thinking of booking....this is the place to come to.......just go for it.....you will definitely not be disappointed!.". 

"Casa Estrela is an amazing villa, set high up in the hills, with fantastic views down to the coast. Eating breakfast out on the huge balcony, with a lovely cooling breeze and enjoying the stunning panorama, was a wonderful way to begin each day. The grass to the front was a perfect place for the children to play frisbee or ball and the pool area below is absolutely magnificent, as is the barbecue area adjoining. We could happily have spent every day of our week lazing around there. Inside, the villa is extremely well equipped with spacious and characterful rooms which pleased all our party members (who ranged in ages from 10 to 78!) The best villa we've ever rented."
